It’s time!!!

What has a never ending amount of but never enough of?

You guessed it, TIME!!!

Why is it that there never seems to be enough time to do the things I want to do?

Is it just me?

When the beginning of the week starts, I add to my to do list and I say to myself “I have plenty of time to do that!” And then at weeks end, I still have items that were not finished and I feel guilty 🙈

I’m not sure if I’m overly optimistic or completely unrealistic about what I can do in a day 🤷‍♀️

And then the people I look to for inspiration, seem to have an endless amount of time, or at least they are able to produce so much more than I’m able to.

But wait!!! Don’t we all have the same amount of time.

How do they do it?

The answer surprised me...

It’s not what you do with your time, IT’S WHAT YOU DON’T DO!

Letting go of what isn’t urgent, like cleaning out the fridge, asking for help form friends and family or hiring someone to do it for us are a few of the ways that we can make more time for what really matters.

I want to spend my time as wisely as possible because I’m on a mission to help as many people as possible and I also recognize my deep need for creation, reading, friends, day dreaming and some plain ‘ol fun 🤩.

I refuse to believe we were birthed into this life to trudge along with the daily grind, feeling guilty for the things we didn’t accomplish.

NOPE, “not today Satan, not today” ( thank you Bianca Del Rio and Rupaul’s Drag Race for that unforgettable line 😂 https://youtu.be/8MdaeCpIqmA )

When we relax and have fun, our ideas that come forward in that state, are the best of what we have. These ideas are what propel humanity forward in the purest of ways and are a must for entrepreneurs and creatives.

Some proof maybe?

The idea of gravity came to Sir Isaac Newton while doing nothing. The legend is that when Newton discovered gravity he saw a falling apple while pondering about the forces of nature.

AKA he was day dreaming, I’m sure if someone was to notice him at the time (especially someone from corporate America today), he would look like he was “wasting time”! And yet, in that state of quiet contemplation, the world was changed 🤯

It’s stories like this, and from how my best ideas have come about, that I know that our down time is as, or more, important as our getting to work.

Creative activities such as painting, crafting or dancing and quiet activities like a good book or sitting in contemplation under a tree!need to take priority over chores and emails.

I’ve very recently put this theory into practice and I am loving my results!!! I feel calmer, fulfilled and I’m having so much FUN!!!

Life doesn’t feel like the grind that it did and it’s definitely less stressful! Who wouldn’t want that?

Letting go of what isn’t a real priority, without guilt (very important), feels powerful and so RIGHT.

My hope in writing this is that you too will put down the vacuum (just for today 😜) and maybe pick up a paint brush and HAVE SOME FREAKIN FUN!!!

Coaches orders 🤓

With light and love,

Stephanie
