To help salons

create a safe space for

the mental and emotional 

well-being of both their

service providers

and guests so that each individual beauty professional can thrive in a team environment.


This program is intensive and is customized based on each salon's needs. It requires two full days of training; 1/2 day with the leadership team and

1 1/2 days with the entire team. It also requires that at least two members of the team have their Mental Health First Aid Certificate before they are considered (the number varies based on salon team size)

There are virtual training options as well, upon request. 


  • Create a customized plan of action based on The Standard of Psychological Health and Safety that, when implemented, ensures a workplace that fosters well-being for all.

  • Enhanced guest experiences through a customized "psychologically safe" consultation and service

  • Education and tools to promote Emotional Intelligence skills            (the #1 predictor of a service provider's success) and mental well-being

The Facilitator

This program was created by Stephanie Russell, a hairstylist, international facilitator, coach, entrepreneur 

and mental health advocate. Having visited hundreds of salons throughout her career, she noticed a pattern of compassion fatigue (especially after the pandemic) and a significant exodus of beauty professionals from the salon team environment to suite and chair rentals, often due to the lack of psychological safety they experienced. Based on her time behind the chair, she recognizes that beauty professionals are often frontline responders for the mental health and well-being of their guests and yet, for the most part, have not received any psychological training. She also saw the need for greater levels of self-care and emotional intelligence to counteract compassion fatigue.


The positive outcomes

of this program have a

 long-term effect

on the quality of service

within the salon. 

The professionals' increased well-being, confidence and satisfaction enhance the guest experience, creating greater loyalty and referrals.

The result is the long-term exponential growth of the business.
